Mandatory national standards mainly stipulate restrictive inspection standards for some imported and exported goods related to safety and health, in order to ensure human health and the safety of persons and property.

Any unqualified export goods that are inspected and evaluated according to mandatory national standards are not allowed to be released for export, even if they meet the quality terms stipulated in the foreign trade contract or the foreign consignee has proof of willingness to purchase.

Imported goods that fail the mandatory national standard inspection and evaluation are also not allowed to be imported. After inspection and certification, they will be provided to relevant units for processing returns and claims.

Home appliances and industrial equipment are important areas of energy consumption, and improving energy efficiency can directly reduce the use of fossil fuels and lower carbon emissions.

The industrial sector is gradually phasing out inefficient motors and promoting the application of advanced technologies such as permanent magnet synchronous motors through standards such as the "Minimum Allowable Values and Energy Efficiency Grades for Electric Motors" (GB 18613).

These measures reflect the country's systematic strategy of guiding market transformation through regulations and standards, and coordinating economic, environmental, and energy security.

In the future, with technological advancements, standards will continue to be upgraded, further promoting the improvement of energy efficiency levels throughout society.

The following are a total of 60 mandatory national standards for product energy efficiency, including 3 directly related to electric motor products, as well as supporting products used in motor products or equipment with motors as accessories.
